Our laboratories, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, contribute to industry development through accreditation under the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 Laboratory Management System. With an innovative and dedicated staff, we conduct tests and analyses in compliance with national and international regulations across various sectors. KCL embraces chemical and physical testing standards that cover nearly all types of toys. KCL provides comprehensive services in the field of Toy Safety and Stationery Analysis. KCL Testing Services is dedicated to enhancing safety and quality in the design of children s products, with a particular focus on toys. The safety requirements for toys, governed by the TSD 88/378/EEC (Toy Safety Directive), encompass six crucial areas physical, mechanical, flammability, chemical, electrical properties, hygiene, and radioactivity. For toys entering the European market, compliance with these safety criteria and the presence of CE marking are imperative, indicating adherence to EU regulations. KCL conducts accredited safety tests (EN 71-1, EN 71-2, EN 71-3) and ecological tests (following standard methods) to ensure toy safety. In a world of continual technological advancement and chemical discoveries, it is crucial to control chemical risks in stationery materials, guaranteeing the safety of items used by children and promoting healthy development. KCL also provides comprehensive services in the field of Electrical Safety Analysis Many of the appliances we use in our daily lives run on electrical energy, containing currents and voltages that may pose a danger to end-users. To ensure consumer safety, electrical safety tests must be conducted, necessary precautions taken, and potential hazards minimized before a product is released to the market. In our laboratory, skilled experts perform the required electrical safety tests in accordance with industry standards.
EN 71 specifies requirements and methods of tests for mechanical and physical properties of toys.
